Stomio v1.1 is released! Thanks for our early adopters for their feedback to improve the product
We are very excited to share new capabilities now available on the platform based on early feedback from our users.
(1) Task Templates
Task Templates can help you become much more efficient at creating betas at scale. We heard from our users that they would love to be able to standardize their betas so if you create a Task that has a great flow and received a high engagement rate from, you can add it to your workspace as a template by simply clicking on the new icon in the task card
You/your teammates can use this Task template in the future by clicking on the Templates pane on the top-right side and it will be added to your Tasks. Once it’s added, you can change pretty much everything about that Task in the new beta. Like the new Task better? add it as another template for sharing. There is no limit to the number of task templates you can create and use!
(2) Email Preferences
We have a good number of emails that get auto-generated from Stomio for you and your testers. We value privacy a lot and we want to make sure that you control what level of messages get communicated from Stomio to you. Your testers can choose the same under their profile settings.
(3) Auto-launch your Beta
Putting a future launch date for your beta is required for your beta to be published and shared with your testers. It lowers the friction between you and your testers when they see in Stomio how many days left for your beta to start! And now when that date arrives, your beta will automatically launch at the set time so you don’t have to stress on your big launch day!
We keep improving the user experience on existing features and capabilities for the platform. We monitor our user behavior religiously so we can keep improving the experience and reduce friction for everyone.
(1) Error Messages
We scrubbed all of the error messages that we can generate in the platform (both front and back end) and made sure the messages our users get are human readable (our 🤖 can wait until we release binary language support!)
(2) Ticket Button
We noticed that our users are finding it difficult to create a new ticket. After multiple rage-clicks, we moved Add Ticket
button from the bottom to the top of the list. We also made it front and center in the empty screen
(3) Add Task Button
To make sure our design language is consistent, we moved Add Task
button from the bottom of the list to the top as well.
We had a big QA sprint in Feb after our soft launch and we squashed tens of bugs that impacted user experience.
