Stomio v1.2 is released! Thanks for our early adopters for their feedback to improve the product
We are very excited to share new capabilities now available on the platform based on early feedback from our users.
(1) NDA Agreements
Having NDA agreements with your testers is critical to make sure everyone is on the same page when it comes to data privacy. Your beta units are still products in development and you want to make sure your testers don’t leak information to competitors or social media.
Instead of sending agreements in emails or having testers accept a field in a survey form, you can easily upload your beta agreement in PDF format and they will be prompted to accept it when your beta is published. Your testers have the option to decline your agreement but they can only access your beta program if they accept the agreement.
(2) Custom Fields
Building a tester live database requires a good degree of flexibility. While the default fields provide a bare minimum to start your tester database, custom fields give you a lot of flexibility to customize the user table to your specific needs!
You can add fields that your testers must fill so you don’t have to guess or create another outreach campaign to collect that information. You can also create internal fields for information you want to capture and retain for your testers. Does your organization have a unique internal customer ID? great! add it as a custom field and add this information to your tester table. There is no limit to the amount of fields you can add so you can make the tester table truly yours!
We keep improving the user experience on existing features and capabilities for the platform. We monitor our user behavior religiously so we can keep improving the experience and reduce friction for everyone.
(1) Beta Readiness
When launching a new beta, we now validate the minimum requirements are met: at least one tester, at least on manager, and at least one task with valid steps. If those minimum requirements are not met, the user will get an error message with a checklist of where the requirements failed and a link to quickly solve the problem
(2) Minor UI improvements
We implemented a number of small improvements based on the feedback and observations of our user behavior
We had a big QA sprint and fixed a number of bugs found in our automation and manual testing
